Interior Wall Painting
Pricing – Walls
Travel Fee
$15 per day booked.
This covers travel time and transit costs.
Flat Rate:
$300 per room (maximum 150 sq ft wall surface, excluding ceilings)
OR
Hourly Rates (for larger rooms or custom projects):
• $38/hr (4-hour minimum)
• $35/hr (6+ hours)
• $30/hr (8+ hours)
Hourly tier is determined by total project time.
If painting a light colour (such as white) over a dark existing colour, a primer coat is required.
Due to the preparation, masking, and drying process involved, primer application is scheduled as a separate visit and adds one additional booked workday to the project.
All projects have a $300 minimum.

Ceilings
Ceilings are billed separately at $40 per hour.
Ceiling work requires additional preparation, masking, and careful technique to prevent splatter and visible roller marks.

Plastering / Patch Work
I provide minor patching, sanding, and surface repair as part of interior painting projects.
Plastering is billed hourly with a 1-hour minimum. All service visits have a 4-hour minimum total.
Plastering must be part of a larger painting project. Standalone plaster-only jobs are not accepted.
The 1-hour plastering minimum applies regardless of how long the repair takes. That time may include sanding and related surface preparation during the same visit.
I am experienced in repairing small nail holes, minor surface corrections, and larger holes up to approximately 10 inches in diameter.
Extensive structural damage, full-wall resurfacing, or large-scale skim coating are outside the scope of my setup. In those cases, I will recommend a larger company equipped for that level of repair.

What Is Included in Labour
Labour includes:
• Surface preparation
• Minor patching
• Sanding
• Masking & taping
• Plastic floor and fixture protection
• Cutting in (precision edges)
• Rolling
• Second coats
• Re-masking between coats (if required)
• Touch-ups
• Standard job cleanup (tape removal, plastic removal, light sweeping, wiping minor drips)
Drying time, meals, transit, and personal breaks are not billed.

Drying Process
I allow paint to air-dry naturally between coats rather than using industrial fans.
This reduces the risk of:
• Bubbling
• Flashing
• Adhesion issues
• Uneven sheen
Smaller projects are typically completed over multiple days to allow proper drying time.
Paint Selection
I recommend high-quality professional-grade interior paint from trusted brands such as Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams.
The specific product depends on:
• Surface condition
• Existing colour
• Desired finish (matte, eggshell, etc.)
• Lighting in the room
For ceilings, I recommend a flat ceiling-specific paint designed to minimize splatter and reduce visible roller marks.
For walls, matte or eggshell finishes are typically recommended depending on traffic and durability needs.
If painting a light colour over a dark colour, a primer coat may be required.
Scope of Work & Limitations
I am set up primarily for small to mid-scale residential interior painting projects.
This includes:
• Standard room repainting
• Surface preparation
• Minor patch and paint
• Nail holes and small wall damage
• Moderate patch repairs
The largest repair I have completed independently was approximately the size of a man’s fist.
Full wall resurfacing, extensive skim coating, structural damage repair, or heavy sanding requiring industrial equipment are outside the scope of my setup.
If a project requires specialized tools or large-scale resurfacing equipment, I will recommend a larger company that is properly equipped for that scale of work.
Project Size
I can take on multi-room projects and full interior repaints provided the surfaces are in standard condition and do not require specialized resurfacing equipment.
Larger projects are scheduled in stages to allow proper drying time and quality control.

Surface Texture Notice
Paint improves colour and uniformity.
It does not hide surface texture.
If walls or ceilings have heavy texture, uneven skim coating, or prior poor workmanship, sanding and resurfacing may be required before painting.
