Late Winter & Spring 1995

Age 17, in Merritt , BC; Started 1st Home Based Business called "Serein; Artists for Hire" (serein means a fine rain from a cloudless sky - I found this word in the Balderdash Game).

1 st Art Gallery Experience

During the spring of 1995, April-Anna was asked to create a painting for a heritage house to be utilised as a part of an Art Stamp Collection. The Baillie House Art Stamp Collection was very popular within the Nicola Valley . This painting of the Baillie House, (acrylic) was displayed at Strand 's Studio & Gallery as a part of that exhibit.

 

1996

April-Anna painted "Nicola River", an image that is often mistaken for a photo and is the second painting to be included in a group show at the local Art Gallery . (Strand's Studio & Gallery). Jeff Martin of The Tea Party choose the "Nicola River" and one other painting to be a part of his personal art collection.

 

Fall 2001

"Nicola River", "Drinking Down the Moon", & 5 un-named paintings were a part of a group show at the Alternator Art Gallery in Kelowna BC.

Group exhibits through-out the year at the Alternator Art Gallery.

Worked for The Phoenix News (Okanagan University Newspaper). April-Anna's articles included interviewing the Irish Rovers, covering the Moody Blues show, Carmina Burauna, The Phantom of the Opera, many other art shows and events.
